Dear Friends and Supporters of Downtown Pittston, The Downtown Pittston Partnership is proud to reflect on a year filled with growth, community spirit, and exciting new initiatives. This year has been a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together to celebrate tradition, creativity, and progress.
Our Second Friday Art Walks continued to thrive, showcasing local talent and turning our streets into vibrant galleries. Movies at the Slope brought families and friends together to enjoy summer evenings under the stars, and our beloved holiday traditions remained highlights of the year. From the Easter Egg Drive Thru and our Trick or Treat on Main Street to La Festa Di Natale, Shop with a Cop, and the St. Patrick’s Parade, these events brought smiles to faces young and old, solidifying Pittston’s reputation as a place where memories are made.
Of course, our iconic Tomato Festival once again brought thousands together to celebrate Pittston’s heritage, drawing visitors from near and far to enjoy food, entertainment, and the camaraderie that defines our town.
We were incredibly excited to introduce a brand-new event this year: Sounds of Summer at the Slope. These free concerts were an incredible addition to our lineup, bringing live music to the community and giving families another opportunity to enjoy Downtown Pittston.
2024 was also a year of growth for our downtown, with the addition of several new businesses that have quickly become community favorites. We welcomed Moxie Femme Studio, Blind Cat Brewery, Pizza Althea, and Showroom 56 to our thriving downtown district. These businesses add to Pittston's unique charm, offering new dining, shopping, and creative experiences for everyone to enjoy.
As we look ahead to 2025, we are more excited than ever. We will continue building on the success of our signature events and look forward to introducing new opportunities to connect, celebrate, and grow as a community. Downtown Pittston is a place of energy, excitement, and possibility, and we are committed to keeping that momentum going strong.
